• search by name, date, tag
• automatic image content tagging (likely via third party api)
• an extra info box for copying with just the filename
• a cross-page click-to-insert function (this maybe means ditching the iframe and the standalone /media page)
• folders?
• display grouped by date (and/or folder)
• scan page content for statistics on where images are linked in the site. possibly also show stats (incl referrers) of hotlinks
• cache thumb information more persistently than a tmp dir
• verify cached thumb data when rescanning media dir
• watch for changes to files in the media dir and regenerate thumbs
